Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii began life as Like A Dragon: Tuna, and featured Kazuma Kiryu as a fighting fisherman

Once upon a time, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio toyed with calling its upcoming spin-off Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii ‘Like A Dragon: Tuna’, with the idea to have the series’ original protagonist Kazuma Kiryu star as a fighting fisherman.
RGG studio director (or, should that now be Arrrrgh GG) Masayoshi Yokoyama schooled us on the origins of Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, in an interview with PlayStation.
“Around June or July 2023, long before the release of Infinite Wealth, the dev team was already mulling over the idea of an Infinite Wealth spin-off. Even if we were to make Like a Dragon 9, we knew that wouldn’t be enough to capture and tell the story,” Yokoyama said koi-ly.

Fortnite live event sees 5.6m players defeat Doctor Doom in hour-long battle

Fortnite brought the storyline of its current Marvel season to a head tonight in a climactic battle with Doctor Doom that attracted a concurrent peak of 5.6 million players.

Over the course of an hour, players worked together to tackle an enormous, rampaging version of the classic Marvel villain, until finally his armour cracked, his health bar was depleted, and he was sucked back into whatever corner of the Marvel multiverse he’d sprung from.

Fortnite’s own stats show an overall total of 5.6 million players in-game just after 7pm UK time tonight, when this evening’s live event began. Assassin's Creed Shadows demo pulled from EGX following delay to 2025

Ubisoft will no longer be hosting a playable demo of Assassin’s Creed Shadows at EGX this October.
“We appreciate the incredible passion and dedication of our community, and we’ve seen your excitement to get hands-on with the game, so we sincerely apologise for any disappointment this change may cause,” the Assassin’s Creed UK social media team posted this afternoon.
