The maker of Pokémon-like monster fighter Palworld has founded a new company, Palworld Entertainment, designed to “accelerate the multifaceted global development” of the game and the brand’s further expansion.
Palworld Entertainment is a joint venture with investment from the game’s developer Pocketpair and Sony, through its Sony Music Entertainment and Aniplex brands.
The latter will stock new Palworld merchandise via Aniplex Online – which should be good news for anyone wanting plush toy versions of their Pals.

Read more Sony has updated yesterday’s blog post on the forthcoming Welcome Hub to remove an image of a PS VR2 charging icon that caused speculation of a possible wireless model.
The Welcome Hub allows users to customise their own tab with various widgets, including the battery charge of accessories. However, the image used in the blog post included a controller, earbuds, and what looks like a PS VR2 headset.
But the PS VR2 is wired and doesn’t require a battery charge. So why was this icon included?

Read more The official social media accounts for Tony Hawk Pro Skater have been freshened up ahead of the series’ upcoming 25th anniversary – and it’s got some fans very excited.
Whilst news that YouTube, X/Twitter, and Facebook are getting a commemorative banner may not sound all that newsworthy, interestingly, all images now boast a new 2024 copyright notice, suggesting Activision has recently renewed the copyright of the series… and that’s the bit that’s sent the rumour mill into overdrive.

Read more The alleged Switch modder who declined to shut down their business after receiving a warning from Nintendo is now going up against the company in court, seemingly without a lawyer.
Earlier this year, Nintendo set its sights on Modded Hardware, a group which does exactly as its name suggests. As Tom wrote in July, Nintendo had requested Modded Hardware stop selling modded hardware, however the group – reportedly headed up by Ryan “Hombrew Homie” Daly – didn’t comply, despite initially suggesting it would.
This ultimately led to Nintendo filing a lawsuit against Daly.
